Session Descriptions

Overview of Adult Education 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Please join the Office of Adult Education team for a general overview of State School Aid, Section 107 and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Adult Education and Family Literacy Act, including eligibility, allowable activities, and performance requirements. This session is a great introduction for those new to adult education, and a helpful refresher for those with more experience.

Budget Development
Office of Adult Education staff will review resources and guidance recently created to assist in the development of Section 107 and WIOA Title II budgets. Staff will discuss allowable costs, function codes, and the level of detail necessary.

Integrated Education and Training
The Office of Adult Education will provide an overview of integrated education and training, better known as IET, and explain the similarities and differences between IET, Section 107 Special Programs, and Workplace Literacy.

MAERS
This workshop will provide an opportunity for local practitioners to discuss their data challenges. (Many regions are hosting MAERS trainings this fall to review reports, so this session will compliment the regional training and serve as a catch all for those that did not attend one of the regional training sessions.)

Registration Fees: Substitutions are encouraged and preferred.
Cancellations will only be considered when received in writing. Telephone requests will not be honored.
Cancellations received 30 or more calendar days prior to the event start date will be honored. If payment has been received a refund will be issued.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 30 calendar days prior to the event start date and all unpaid invoices will be due in full.
