Coordinator Summit

The purpose of the Coordinator Summit is to provide local WIC Coordinators with the opportunity to network, discuss effective strategies, develop process improvements, share best practices and resources with one another Statewide. This year’s summit will focus on employee motivation and retention, workplace mental health awareness, leadership and response tips for a manager, and tools to balance yourself and a team.

  • Identify the latest information on state policies and practices.
  • Discuss techniques for motivational leadership into everyday practices and inspire more productive employees.
  • Identify information and skills to help leaders develop a better life/work balance in their staff, providing a more productive employee.
  • Describe the importance of maintaining the retention of WIC clients and how this can effect WIC budgets.

Continuing education opportunities will be available for Nursing and Registered Dietitian.

New State and Local Agency information and materials will be provided and discussed at the Michigan WIC Coordinator Summit. Therefore, attendance is expected for the local agency WIC Coordinator and their Senior WIC leadership.
