Purpose
Infection prevention and control is at the forefront of evidence based practice research and a major target for state and national surveyors in acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, dialysis centers, and ambulatory surgery facilities. In order to provide the best quality of care and meet regulatory obligations, it is imperative that infection control professionals have a solid foundation as well as knowledge of the most up to date standards, methodology, and science.
